Arkansas Microschool Report

Microschools are becoming an increasingly visible part of the Arkansas education ecosystem.

Though microschools have been an “unofficial” part of the state’s education landscape for decades, the availability of funding through Arkansas LEARNS has brought these programs into the spotlight. When most people hear the phrase microschool, their first question is usually, “What exactly is a microschool?”

We want to help Arkansas microschool leaders, parents, and students answer that question—and tell the story of what microschools look like in our state.

ARISE is partnering with microschools across the state to develop a comprehensive, descriptive report describing the state of microschooling and its impact on Arkansas families. If your child is enrolled in a microschool or you lead or work at a microschool, we need your help. By participating, you can help us better define and describe the impact microschools are having on students.

Participation is simple:

  • There is no cost to parents or schools.

  • We will protect personal and school information.

  • The process is designed to be brief and easy to complete.

The deadline to participate is December 1, 2026.
